Tutorial Two

This week we talked about digital cameras and images.
We discussed how they how they are constantly changing for the "better" yet new technology rarely superior to old.
For example: The photo quality of a digital camera picture when blown up becomes very blurry this is because of the megapixel technology, which is the tiny pixels of colour within the camera, however on a non digital camera when you blow the picture up it it still a clear nice picture.

In class we took the time to go outside an take some photos of a particular topic of ours and then uploaded them onto the computer and onto Flickr. Flickr is an online site which you can store your photos and allow anyone who has access to a computer to view them. Other photo sharing sites that does this are picasa, facebook and bebo.

Digital cameras can be widely used in occupational therapy settings, photos are a great memory tool and are a useful way of recording recovery, illness, and dysfunction. However ethical issues come into play when using cameras in practice and they must be considered thoroughly.
